Bob visited the Husaini Islamic Centre on a Visit My Mosque open day that welcomed thousands of local residents. The National event, which is organised by the Muslim Council of Britain, is in its second year in running and has received a tremendous response from local residents. It is an opportunity for people of all faiths to learn about Islam and build bridges between different religious faiths. There was an exhibition of art work inspired by the Khoja heritage that was open to all visitors.
He also had an opportunity to welcome Zac Goldsmith, the Conservative London Mayoral Candidate to the Mosque along with the congregation at the Husaini Islamic Centre. A lively Q&A session was followed by a visit to the art exhibition where both Bob and Zac made their imprints on one of the paintings.
