During a week-long visit to India, Bob inaugurated DIVYA, a residential school for children with disabilities in the village Jawhar in Maharashtra (India). Set up by the efforts of trustees and volunteers of Sewa International India and Sewa UK, the school provides special educational facilities to children from Jawhar and other villages in Maharashtra thereby plugging the gap in educational facilities for children with disabilities.
On the occasion of Hindu New Year, Gudi Padva, Bob had the opportunity to participate in the Shobha Yatra (parade) and further energised the enthralled audience by his chanting of: “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. During his visit Bob also had the opportunity to visit other Sewa International projects in Mumbai and interact with trustees and volunteers. Bob also called on the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Phadnavis and RSS Chief, Mr. Mohanrao Bhagwat during his stay in Mumbai.
