This year marked 10 Years of The Bentley Priory Battle of Britain Trust and Bob was delighted to attend their Gala Dinner in celebration of the milestone. Bob has worked closely with Sir Brian Burridge in securing a £1 million fund with which to upgrade and improve Bentley Priory Museum and to ensure that its educational value is available to as many school age visitors as possible, so he was delighted to attend and to witness the amazing Spitfire TR9s display that was put on for guests.

The inaugural ‘Meeting of the Minds’ Symposium brought together experts from across all sectors who share a common passion for building a shared understanding of the contribution of Indian soldiers in World War 1. The two day symposium concluded with a reception at the Houses of Parliament, which Bob was pleased to host.
Bob joined members of the Tamil Community outside the MoD for Mullivaikal Remembrance Day and spoke in commemoration of all those who died during the armed conflict between the Sri Lankan Government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in May 2009. Mullivaikal was the name of a hospital which was destroyed with great loss of life during the genocide.
Bob met the Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Navtej Sarna, at India House recently. They discussed his recently concluded visits to India as well as discussed ways in which UK-India relationship and interaction could be strengthened further. Mr. Sarna thanked Bob for being a strong voice of Indian diaspora in the Parliament.

Bob was the keynote speaker at the International Yoga Day Curtain Raiser hosted by the Mayor of Harrow and Art of Living Foundation at the Harrow Council Chambers. The event was supported by The All Party Parliamentary Group for Indian Traditional Sciences. A video message for the Yoga Day from His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living, was also shared on the day.
Bob was pleased to visit newly Academised St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School for a Q&A with the school council. After discussing a range of topics including the local environment and education policy, he met with Headteacher David O'Farrell and the Chair of Governors, Pam Singh, to discuss their forward thinking programme in partnership with St Gregory's High School to support a high standard of attainment for their pupils.
