Nepalese Caterer’s Association Awards – Slough

Bob was pleased to be guest of honour at the Nepalese Caterer's Association Awards evening. Bob was invited to speak to the packed audience and spoke of his love of Nepalese food, with his favourite being Ghurkhali Chicken Butwa! Bob also paid tribute to the bravery of the Ghurkha's and his efforts in Parliament to obtain justice for Ghurkha's and their families. Finally, Bob stated that he would encourage David Cameron to visit Nepal and be the first Prime Minister to pay a visit to Nepal.   ...

Bob was pleased to attend the Harrow Civic Service at Harrow Central Mosque to honour the year of office of the Mayor, Councillor Asad Omar. Bob has had the pleasure of attending many events with the Mayor over the last year and has helped raise money for the Mayor's Charity.

Seder Demonstration at Moriah Jewish School

Bob attended a demonstration Seder at Moriah Jewish Day School in the company of the Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks and the Mayor of Harrow, as well as Councillor Jean Lammiman. This was a very enjoyable and educational event. Bob witnessed the children learning all about the basis of the Seder meal which begins the celebration of Passover. This was an entertaining exercise for the children delivered with a mixture of songs and explanations of the origins of the festivities.

Bob had a meeting with Locus to discuss the opportunities that the Internet brings for digital mapping. At the moment, Ordinance Survey has a monopoly on the data used for mapping which is constraining the opportunities for new businesses to develop on the Internet.
