Bob continued representing the hospitals and patients in Harrow East and addressed the Secretary of State saying, “I went to see a group practice of 12 GPs who are totally frustrated by the local PCT.
They are concerned that when the reforms are introduced, they will also be frustrated by the GP consortiums. Will my right hon. Friend give me some assurances on how the GP consortiums will be formed? What will happen if some GPs disagree with how a consortium is set up? The Rt Hon Andrew Lansley confirmed that he is looking to GPs in a locality to create GP commissioning consortiums that represent a specific area.
